Summit Packaging Systems Inc., originally known as Scovill Manufacturing, was founded by Gordon Gilroy in 1974. As a privately-held family-owned company Summit Packaging Systems Inc. (SPS) quickly became a leader in the manufacturing of aerosol valves. From its two manufacturing sites in North America, Manchester, NH and Racine, Wisconsin, Summit has been able to successfully sustain annual growth. Today, Summit is recognized as the leading producer of aerosol valves in North America.
Due to the popularity and renowned quality of aerosol valves in North America, Summit began receiving recognition throughout Europe. In 1988, Summit strategically established Summit Europe C.V. in Almere, The Netherlands to meet customer demands. Since its inception Summit Europe C.V. (SE) has successfully established itself as a major supplier in the European aerosol market. With leadership and experience Summit is able to sustain annual growth as well as foster long standing relationships with customers.
In 2006, between customer demand and targeted low cost production another geographic capital investment was needed. Summit expanded further into the Central / Eastern European aerosol market by establishing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tarnow, Poland. In January 2008, Summit Packaging Polska Sp. zo.o. (SPP) produced its first aerosol valve. Today, Summit Poland caters to a broad customer base from Central Europe into Asia.
With five fully operational plants strategically positioned around the map, Summit is quickly becoming a leading global supplier of aerosol valves. Summit’s newest manufacturing plant in Tarnow, Poland signifies its commitment to the demands of the European Aerosol Market for service and quality.

Our Technical Service Dept. is focused on the development of new products as well as existing product advancement. They work both internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction, taking pride in developing customer products along with customer relations in problem solving.
